PIPPIN TRACTOR & EQUIPMENT HISTORY. In the last 50 years Pippin Tractor has grown to provide the best equipment to national and international contractors as well as the small home gardener who might just tend an acre. We are especially proud of our local customers and businesses that have quite a long history with us! |
Olon Pippin bought some land for storage in 1960 and incidentally took on a struggling tractor distributorship. He was able, in short order, to turn it into a viable business that fit in nicely with his agricultural ventures. He added other brands and ran a successful enterprise, focusing on his friends and local agricultural businesses, until his death in 1989. |
Hubert Pippin, Olon's son, agreed to run the company next. Through historical freezes and hurricanes, he was able to turn Pippin Tractor & Equipment into a competitve force in the Construction Equipment Sales arena, while never forgetting the company's roots. Not only did he manage to supply top-notch equipment to large commercial contractors and municipalities, he also continued to be competitive in high quality Farm Equipment. Our customer base grew from the local farmer, rancher, and nurseryman to also include builders and developers, carpenters and masons, plumbers and electricians, landscapers and sod farmers, and most every type of sub-contractor to large builder, land owner, or international contractor. |
Adam Pippin, Hubert's son, joined the company in 2006, coming from an insurance and real estate background on the Treasure Coast. He previously graduated from college with honors, and is the father of two sons and a daughter. Since arriving he has included paving, recycling and waste management companies to Pippin Tractors' list of satisfied customers, while expanding sales in the Caribbean. He believes in tight management, concerned employees and happy customers. |
Scott Conley was hired into the company in 1995 as a capable mechanic looking to go to his first manufacturers "tech school." He soon went to every available technical school and quickly rose to service manager. He ran a well organized maintenance and repair shop. If a tractor went "down" during mowing or spraying season, or an excavator or loader went down during a project, Scott rapidly solved the issue. He is the Executive Vice President and G.M. of Pippin Tractor & Equipment and proficiently manages our clean, modern store today. |
We are ALL excited about our 50 years of award-winning sales and service and we look forward to the next generation of the Pippin Tractor Family and 50 MORE years of excellence!! |
